Version-Free Assembly Names

The version-free named assemblies do not have the trailing version number and the CLR identity in their names. For example, “Infragistics2.RFT.Shared.v10.3.dll” is available as “Infragistics.RFT.Shared.dll”.

The Test Automation RFT version-free named assemblies are compatible with the version-free named assemblies of Ultimate UI for Windows Forms (e.g. Infragistics.Win.dll). These assemblies are required only if you are testing an application that is built with the Infragistics version-free named assemblies.

The Test Automation assemblies refer to the corresponding Infragistics assemblies. Since the names of the version-free Infragistics assemblies are different, you must have the new set of version-free Test Automation assemblies.

You can switch to the version-free build version of our assemblies using the Version Utility tool. To know more about Version Utility please see the Using the Version Utility topic.
