SelectedIndex Property

Gets/sets the index of the current SelectedItem. Available only at runtime.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Property SelectedIndex As Integer
public int SelectedIndex {get; set;}
Remarks

Setting the SelectedIndex property results in the SelectedItem property being set to the item at that ordinal position in the Items collection.

Note: When the HasMRUList property is True, and the dropdown list contains MRU items, the SelectedIndex property represents the index of the item in the Items collection to which it corresponds, not the index in the dropdown list. Note: A setting of -1 has special meaning in that when the SelectedIndex property is set to -1, the current selection is cleared. In the case where the DropDownStyle property is set to DropDownList, this results in the control's Text property being cleared as well.

Example
This sample initializes the items collection of an UltraComboEditor. It then initializes some of the display and behavior properties such as MRU, Item and individual item appearances, autocomplete.
