RecordAdding Event

Occurs when the first edit of a template add record is made but before an item has been added to the DataSource.

Event Data

The event handler receives an argument of type RecordAddingEventArgs containing data related to this event. The following RecordAddingEventArgs properties provide information specific to this event.

OriginalSource (Inherited from System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs)	Gets the original reporting source as determined by pure hit testing, before any possible System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs.Source adjustment by a parent class.
Record	Returns the record to be added (read-only).
RoutedEvent (Inherited from System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs)	Gets or sets the System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs.RoutedEvent associated with this System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs instance.
Source (Inherited from System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs)	Gets or sets a reference to the object that raised the event.

Remarks

As soon as the user types the first character while in edit mode of a cell in a template add record this event will be raised. If this event is not cancelled then the System.ComponentModel.IBindingList.System.ComponentModel.IBindingList.AddNew method will be called on the DataSource followed by the RecordAdded event.

Note: If this event is cancelled by setting the Infragistics.Windows.DataPresenter.Events.RecordAddingEventArgs's Infragistics.Windows.Controls.Events.CancelableRoutedEventArgs.Cancel property to true then the ActiveCell will be forced out of edit mode and the changes discarded.
