Note that to actually get or specify filter conditions, use the FieldLayout's FieldLayout.RecordFilters or RecordManager's RecordManager.RecordFilters properties. Any changes made by the user through the FilterCell will be reflected in one of those collections (depending on the setting of the RecordFilterScope property).
